About Us

The beginnings of David Orton Interiors can be traced back to 1977 in a workshop situated at the end of our garden. From there we progressed to workshops in and around Shrewsbury, evolving steadily, and from 1982 employing other craftsmen.

Since 1996 we have worked from two units in Monkmoor, Shrewsbury and employ nine highly skilled craftsmen most of whom have been with us for many years.

Our reputation has been gained through word of mouth; most enquiries resulting from a previous customer’s satisfaction with our quality, integrity and attention to detail.

Our aim is to give life to your ideas and expectations. When designing our kitchens we blend traditional design with new technology in order to meet your exact needs. Our furniture is genuinely bespoke therefore each kitchen reflects the personality and specific requirements of the individual – you.

We also design and make fitted bedroom, bathroom and study furniture. Individual pieces of free standing furniture, for example Housekeeper’s Cupboards, can also be commissioned
